The maps I found interesting are:

Fig. 2.2 Health Care Facilities — because it shows where the regional clinics and major hospitals are located throughout Alaska.  As vast as Alaska is, considering the total population, it is amazing that we have acute health hospitals in various locations to better serve us Alaskans.

Fig. 2.3 Forests — it is nice to see there are dense wooded, forested areas that I would like to visit someday on vacation.

Fig. 2.5 — Comparison map of Alaska and Lower 48.  We are such a big, vast state.  Just about 2.5 states of Alaska to cover the entire Lower 48, however, we are not heavily populated like down there.

Fig. 2.8 — World map.  I like it because Alaska looks cool!
