Assignment 8: Night/Aurora

Hello,

For this assignment I visited the Ice Art Championship.  Crawford 8-1, this ice sculpture was part of a multi-block ice carving at the Ice Art Championship and part of a larger sculpture of a raven on a Dall’s sheep skull.  I think the tight focus on the raven’s head displays the detail of the carvings while balancing the light being reflected by the ice. Crawford 8-2, putting the finishing touches on a multi-block sculpture.  Crawford 8-3, the recent cloudy and snowy days made it difficult to photograph the aurora. I took this photo, in my backyard, in early February during one of our clear and cold snaps and during a weak aurora display.
